Acme Packet (APKT) Continues Its Momentum with a Fine Quarter, Increase in Guidance

Acme Packet (APKT) - one of our big winners of 2010 - reported last evening and had some excellent numbers.  Analysts expectations of $60.8M and $0.23 were easily bested as APKT came in at $70.2M and non GAAP EPS of $0.26.  This is another stock that benefited from F5 Networks (FFIV) earnings implosion as expectations of the investment community were tempered, although again, they don't play in the same space.  The stock is up 8% in premarket.

As for guidance for 2011, Acme moved up revenue from $286-287M to $300M and non GAAP earnings from $0.99-$1.00 to $1.05.  Full report here.
