30% increase in tonnage - fantastic. Less for the Chinese - more pressure on them to pay up! I am hoping for $500 at least from them.

And very little of this is in future estimates (09) which are already double 2008. Just sick what is going on with these potash producers.

MOS announced it has signed that vaunted yearly potash contract with India...how does this compare to the estimated increase?

MOS Mosaic announces canpotex potash contracts with Indian customers (104.67 +1.72)

The co announces that Canpotex Limited, the export association of Saskatchewan potash producers, has reached an agreement to supply 1.3 million metric tonnes of potash to its key Indian customers at $625 per metric tonne CFR. This represents a volume increase of 350,000 metric tonnes and a price increase of $355 per metric tonne from the prior year contract. Shipments will occur during the period between May 2008 and March 2009. The contract includes credit terms of 180 days

Don't worry, I am always OT even on my own blog

I am not really focused on 1320 at this point; I am looking at the wide range of 50 day moving average on the top (1353 and falling by the day) and 1270 or PPT supported 1260 on the bottom

The only numbers in between that matter to me are 1330 as that is the 20 day moving average which the index bounced off smartly an hour ago and 1300 just because its a psychological tag.

Until we make a breakout from above the 50 day or below 1260/1270 it's going to be a lot of range bound white noise IMO.

Fundamentals degrading on 1 hand vs government intervention on the other - a Mexican standoff.

OT, and aren't I always OT, but what do you think of 1320 on the SP500 from a TA standpoint? The way we blew thru it going down and up last time makes me think it is meaningless as support now as we approach again. Haven't been doing this long tho, so do you think did it's lack of strength either way last time signifies anything?
