I mentioned a few weeks ago when the credit card issuers lifted, these are shortable on every Kool Aid lift. Capital One is a poster child, Amex, Discover. Most major banks have large credit lending arms - they have not provided the correct amount of allowances for what is coming down the pike. While it won't be so spectacular as subprime, it will be a long term issue and repetative and the banks are woefully set in their allowances for this. If Chrysler were still public it would be a great short because it has little international sales. Anything tied to the consumer I still think has major issues in 2008 even if people think there will be a boom of the consumer by 2nd half 2008.
