I've worked in both. In public its all about the quarter - make the number, make the number, make the number. Do anything stupid you can to juice sales at any cost so we can make the number.<BR/><BR/>That reality simply does not register in the private world... yes both want to be profitable but a lot of very dumb decisions are made in public companies so at the end of every 13 week period you can proclaim to the public "all is good".<BR/><BR/>48 hours?
