I mean while the rest of the world's high school students are intensely studying math/science to better themselves and country in terms of competitiveness, our high school students are focusing on other junk.<BR/> I remember my high school days from just over 1 year ago, and the cell phones are horrendous....no one pays attention anymore, everyone is either texting or surfing the web on a smartphone (hopefully reading your blog ;) ). But the complacency is disgusting.<BR/><BR/>Our young women are too busy worrying about how to be like Angelina and text message their friends 5,000 times/hour, and our young boys (in urban areas at least) are too worried about being like Curtis Jackson (Fiddy Cent) to bother studying. It is so sad, and many of these students, fellow classmates got away with their failures at my school at least because they smooch off of the parents' wealth.
