YET, I am to believe the U.S. is set to recover in early 2009. So we can have it both ways, correct? &lt;/I&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;I agree with you.  I see three dangers to coal and fertilizer demand.  The first is a global depression.  My thought is that if a global depression happens then it really doesn't matter which stocks you're in.  The second is if some new energy technology is developed meaning we don't need coal anymore.  It's a long shot, but always possible.  The final one is some sort of mass population extinction.
