Now that they are emerging as a power they will probably get attacked by the people who hated MSFT or any establishment.

Also getting into enterprise means reversing years of ingrained IT folks - which will also be hard to do. Better product isn't enough when so many IT departments have many jobs dependent on fixing MSFT issues/bugs and were brought up/trained in a culture that is MSFT dependent. So I don't expect any quick turn into that market, but would like to see some slow and steady gains over the next few years.

Apple makes some great products (I'm typing this o...

Apple makes some great products (I'm typing this on a MBP now). They have a few problems though. One is their arrogance. Businesses like to plan when it comes to buying IT hardware and software. Apple is so tight lipped about everything when it comes to features and dates that it will continue to turn off enterprise buyers. I will admit this strategy does help them with the consumer buyer though.

Second is their lineup. They have a huge hold in their computer lineup between the mac pro and the mac mini. They really need to release a machine with the price and power of an imac, but without a monitor. I have a lot of friends who want a mac, but they already have a monitor and don't want to spend the cash for a mac pro, but also want more power than the mac mini. IMHO, it's a big problem.

The final problem is that I don't think Apple cares about their computer business as much as the ipod/iphone. Their focus is now the iphone to the detriment of other products (look at delays of leopard or computer updates). Makes me wonder how (un)prepared management was for the amazing growth they experienced over the last few years.

If it ever looks like Apple might challenge Ms dom...

If it ever looks like Apple might challenge Ms dominance, then...
But I'd like to suggest an adjustment to terminology.
