It is akin to driving in traffic without street signs, or traffic signals. If valuation does not matter it could be a $80 stock or a $30 stock. Why not a 5 PE ratio? Why not 2?

Other stocks are trading at that multiple.

As for the rate cuts - it is not the rate cuts that matter or will bring people in. If there is no confidence, people will not come in. Each time you buy something you have a >80% chance of losing 10,20% within a week or two... so people will stop taking that chance and just flee. There is a lot of money on the sidelines and they don't seem to want to re-enter. Until they do, or have the confidence to do so and/or hedge funds finish selling off... it doesn't seem to matter what happens.

I wish I had a smarter answer for you but I don't see many stocks obeyeing either fundamental or technical history. Apple built a base between 50 and 70 in 2006. There is some support in the 80s. But if no one comes into the market to buy those levels, will it matter. The other problem is Apple is widely held at hedge funds.

I'd be very interested in seeing what your thought...

I'd be very interested in seeing what your thoughts about APPL are now after bill being passed and with many saying it will reach 2006 support levels and even worse.
