Several weeks ago it was the negative sentiment (i.e., bull signal); now that dynamic is waning, and when you combine a neutral sentiment picture with poor price action and poor market internals you get a rally that should fail around the 4 week mark -which is sometime in the next week.  In other words, I would be selling rallies into the year end.  I would agree the goal is to make everyone "happy, happy, happy" and give "us" something positive to talk about this New Year's Eve.
