He shall save us.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;ahem.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;While its true it takes a mountain of bad news, when the market falls it happens in a much shorter duration.  4 months of good can be erased in 2 weeks. &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;I&amp;#39;m not shorting this market; just selling off bits here and there and redeploying in names that are just about to break out aka Obama has yet to heal with his touch.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;I saw on CNBC this morning they did a survey and only 4% (or was it 6%) said the market would be down in 2009.  Doesn&amp;#39;t exactly sound like a bearish call but then again every year the survey says it will be an up year.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;The funny thing is this market is now expensive on 2009 S&amp;amp;P 500 estimates (at least anything below $60) - we&amp;#39;re quickly approaching 15x forward estimates. I hope I don't jinx u...</title><content type='html'>TM:&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Happy, Healthy New Year!  &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;I hope I don't jinx us all by creating a consensus, but I do agree that the current and recent "pop" is a better selling opportunity than buying.  In other words, sell into strength.  &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;The sentiment picture has become somewhat bullish yet the market internals remain only fair.  My only concern is that it takes only one 15 minute announcement (i.e., another bailout or government throwing money around) to get the bulls all lathered up.  On the other hand, it takes a mountain of evidence to create the bearish case.
