Wait... ok nevermind.

What sort of content do you like? If you like Calculated Risk you will like Mish's blog

Barry's the Big Picture I've read for years - I'm an economic guy at heart so I like to read him and Mish since they write things I think a newbie could understand. I try to do that too, but obviously throw a lot more of the stock stuff - but we all pick on the same people. Calculated Risk are the very smart guys in the room! Barry's has the most prominence and web traffic. Mish is probably close to him.

I like Bespoke Blog as well for a lot of graphs and statistics since I am into that stuff too.

I have a host of blogs along the left side of the margin where you can play around with - some focus on stocks, some on economics, some on the market overall, etc.

If you want to get depressed I also recommend Nouriel Roubini's blog. He is excellent for the thinking man or woman (Dr Doom) :)

Good point, a lot of the big financials own smalle...

Good point, a lot of the big financials own smaller more questionable companies. These companies are just to predatory. I know you want that trait in a capitalist society, but something about owning companies that prey on the poorest and most desperate in our society just doesn't sit right. Having said that, I just bought puts on all kinds of stocks including DSL, so not sure why I'm so high and mighty on these stocks while I'm betting against the success of a few companies. Gonna play the momentum coming out of POT for little while. Stock is up 1800% last 5 years, I think its time for a little reversion to the mean.
