By doing nothing.  And there are 4 good companies reporting tomorrow which will then be touted by CNBC as "people are overblowing the situation"&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Combined with a market that is down 7% straight in 3 weeks you have ripe conditions for an oversold rally for the short term at least. &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Very rarely do you go straight down - January 2008 was one of those times but thats an outlier - there was no let up in that move.  March 2008, November 2007 and August 2007 were more typical periods - where you still had rallies within vicious selloffs.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Thats why i got caught badly in january 08.. As long as Cramer says so then those can go.  For a 5 year time horizon its a good way to play or you can use ETF NLR.
