It is a magnet school and for the last number of years it has had the best test scores in the city including the private schools. The school is an interesting mix of children including whites, African Americans, Chinese, Indian, and foreigners primarily Northern Africa. It will be interesting to see what happens over the coming couple of years. Will the school, which is highly thought of, go down hill with the economy or will they be able to maintain their high level of achievement? Hopefully, both of us will still be around in a few years and I will report back then.</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/2335748440449035592/1756476125262875279/comments/default/3864581790983286900'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/2335748440449035592/1756476125262875279/comments/default/3864581790983286900'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.fundmymutualfund.com/2008/09/nytimes-hard-times-hitting-students-and.html?showComment=1220553240000#c3864581790983286900' title=''/><author><name>Guy</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/09198161809721597881</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://www.fundmymutualfund.com/2008/09/nytimes-hard-times-hitting-students-and.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2335748440449035592.post-1756476125262875279' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/2335748440449035592/posts/default/1756476125262875279' type='text/html'/></entry></feed>
