Oh America, I Weep For you - iFart is the #1 Download on iTunes

I know you come here for hard hitting daily commentary on economics, markets, and stocks - but we have to have some fun. As we said in late 2008 we had a resolution that in 2009 we would mix our dreary reality checks and sober (tongue in cheek) analysis with 2% panda (a happy go lucky animal that makes the masses smile). This is not a panda but close enough - plus it still fits out theme in a 7 degrees of Kevin Bacon - it's Apple (AAPL) related!

Ah, sheeple of America.....Rome burns and we wonder why....

#1 Download

  • Earlier today we learned that Apple had decided to allow a new genre of apps into the app store with the release of Pull My Finger, a humorous but simple application that emits predictably nasty sounds whenever users pull on a virtual finger.
  • ...we’ve already got our next contender in the battle for flatulence supremacy. It’s called iFart, and while it’s an improvement over Pull My Finger, I seriously hope this isn’t the start of a new trend.
  • iFart builds on this by adding a ’stealth’ feature, allowing users to set off their ticking timebombs after a set amount of time. They can also enable a “security” feature that plays one of the noises whenever the phone is moved.
I do not condone such degradation of American intellect but....

Hi TM

you know who from you know where...

you can also down load the whoopee cushion to an i-mac; my kids and I love that one...countless hours of fun

plus it won't be a recession/ depression until you see stories about people having to give up their cell phones (a luxury, not a necessity) but we will probably have a gov't program for that too ...we have one to preserve cable tv for the masses as we convert over to digital
