34 Stocks Returning 7%+ this Week

Another week of only a smattering of big movers to the upside. Last week, when the market was down a just a bit I remarked it was strange to see so few names making large moves up so maybe it was a harbinger of the week to come.

Criteria

1. Market capitalization $1.50B+
   
2. Average trading volume 100K+
3. Stock price $10+
4. Return this week 7%+

Green names we own, blue names we have owned in the past or discussed in the blog. An odd mix this week of regional banks, airlines, and retailers - along with a few rumored takeover targets (UST/SNDK). Not really much to analyze this week - the retailers are a play on falling oil, the airlines are a play on falling oil and the rebounding regional financials are .. well I guess the play on "reality of a flailing economy, weakening consumers, weakening commercial real estate loans won't matter because it can't get worse than this"... or short covering by hedge funds who have been short and are forced to liquidate positions.
