Some readers have asked to start updating performance data on a monthly basis in addition to the yearly/weekly data we normally post. So I've started doing this the past 2 months. Updated results below
All this work and you are negative for the year 2008 as measured in US Pesos(!!). Come on Mark, focus! Need a holiday maybe, to clear up the mind?
I am on a holiday right now, in the Philippines, where taxi drivers are refusing to use their meters because the meter rate was set 3 years ago with petrol prices 70% lower, and the govt is refusing to allow the meter rate to go up to contain inflation expectations! LOL. As I am navigating the 3rd world slums of Manila, in the back of my mind I realise this is probably the future of America.
Last but not least, I just went 100% long this morning, as I saw the Put/Call ratio on the S&P at 1.75 and investor sentiment at a bearish extreme.
Yes, it's been like pulling teeth the past 5 months to regain the losses of 2 terrible weeks in January.
I can make a case for a big oversold bounce or a big selloff. The market likes to frustrate as many as possible so since I just cut back long exposure and added short, I will assume she will go up and make me look dumb.

Mark, I think your performance would really shine through, if you "financed" RTF with a short on the S&P500.
