Gafisa (GFA) - Brazilian homebuilder +10.5%
Mechel (MTL) - Russian coal/iron +8.9%
Millicom International Cellular (MICC) +6.6%
KBR (KBR) - infra +6.7%
Foster Wheeler (FWLT) -infra +6.0%
Mosiac (MOS) -fertilizer +5.4%
Potash (POT) -fertilizer +4.8%
Shaw Group (SGR) -infra +4.6%
Agco (AG) -agriculture +4.5%
JA Solar (JASO) -solar +5.9%
Suntech Power (STP) -solar +5.5%
Massey Energy (MEE) -coal +5.9%
Blue Coat Systems (BCSI) -networking +10.1%
Crocs (CROX) -retail +7.1%

All of the above outside of CROX, BCSI, GFA and some of the infrastructure names held their 50 day moving average in this entire sell off....

Other non portfolio major strength in VMWare (VMW), all the major dry bulk momentum stocks, Wynn Resorts (WYNN), Goldman Sachs (GS), Intuitive Surgical (ISRG), Sohu (SOHU) and any number of small cap no name Chinese stocks

The more things change....

If not for the major Ultrashort positions this could of been a very great day ;)

Umm...yeah. Just checked one of my watchlists with about 50 or 60 stocks on it and every single one was in the black. Some heavy short covering going on today.

Yep definitely, it was "too easy to be short" there. I wrote that at 11 AM and since then a lot of other things have made a move up as well. Now we will see who is going up on fundamentals and real buying versus short covering (if we continue up in the days ahead)
