The market opened significantly lower; unfortunately I was not at the computer to get the truly low prices which must of happened in the very first 7-8 minutes, but I did apply the rest of my cash (about 6% of fund) to the long side in this early bird special sale, so I now I am at the will of the market. Let's hope there is no additional late bird sale later in the day. I added to these names, on their significant swoons
- CCG Vertias (CGV) - energy oil services
- Core Laboratories (CLB) - energy oil services
- Sterlite Industries (SLT) - India copper
- Crocs (CROX) - retail
- CF Indusries (CF) - fertilizer
- New Oriental Education (EDU) - Chinese education
- Consol Energy (CNX) - coal (this was not on sale today but swooned Friday and I missed buying it)
- Ctrip.com (CTRP) - Chinese travel
- Foster Wheeler (FWLT) - global infrastructure
- Jacobs Engineers (JEC) - global infrastructure
Most of these were buys in the $5000 - $7000 range except for
CF Industries which I bought $19,000 worth. Darn
Apple (AAPL) did not budge at all morning so there was no early bird special in the Apple store.
